FAQ

  • Where are you located?

I am located on our property north of Abilene, KS. Our community is home to the great Dwight D. Eisenhower! If you are not local to the area, Abilene is a town full of history. I encourage you to come for a visit!

  • Where do I pick up my subscription?

Pick up will be at Lumber House True Value parking lot during the Abilene Farmers Market (look for the yellow truck) on Saturdays from 7-11 am.. I will be in touch via email (in advance) to let you know which week for that month we will have subscription bouquets! Also, note that some people may be on a different subscription pickup schedule than you are. If you are not able to pick it up on a particular date, it is a great opportunity to gift the bouquet to someone and have them pick it up. Bouquets not picked up will be donated to a local assisted living community for the residents to enjoy.

  • What's your cancellation policy?

We start planning and investing time and money into the flowers many months in advance before you receive these beautiful bouquets. Because of our commitment, we kindly ask that you gift your subscription if for some reason you won’t be able to honor your order. If Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate and your subscription can’t be fulfilled as promised, you will be eligible for a substitute bouquet(s) or refund as applicable!

  • Do you offer tours of the flower farm?

The flower farm is not open to the public on a regular basis. Please send us a detailed message to see if a tour can be scheduled or purchase a You Pick Event ticket to come see us! :)

  • What types of flowers do you grow?

Spring florals include specialty tulips, ranunculus, anemones and peonies. Peonies are currently in limited supply as the plants continue to develop. Summer and fall flowers are dahlias, sunflowers, zinnias, lisianthus, heirloom mums and a variety of other annuals and perennials selected specifically for cutting.

  • Do you offer bulk orders, like DIY buckets?

Bulk orders are subject to availability. Which means the more notice you can provide the better, especially if you are wanting a specific color palette and type of flower. Many flowers take 90+ days to grow and bloom! Please send us a detailed message to see if we can provide what you are looking for.

  • Do you sell your dahlia tubers?

Yes, we do sell dahlia tubers in the Spring. The tubers are grown on our farm in Kansas. The varieties that are available change from year to year based on our stock. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so you receive news and updates about availability.

  • If I want to learn more about growing cut flowers, what resources do you recommend?

There are so many great resources available. A few of my favorites are Floret Flower for all types of flowers and foliage, Gardeners Workshop for annuals and Swan Island Dahlias for of course dahlias!
